STORY:
⁃ dad picking me up from sleep over
⁃ Times of fun but times of deep ache
⁃ “It’s okay sweetheart, you’re home now”
⁃ My dad CAME TO ME
⁃ all I had to do was CALL OUT TO HIM!
Opened door to car & home sickness was gone
Because….
Home wasn’t just a physical location but a person.
Psalm 46:
“God is our safe place and our strength. He is always our help when we are in trouble. 2 So we will not be afraid, even if the earth is shaken and the mountains fall into the center of the sea, 3 and even if its waters go wild with storm and the mountains shake with its action.”

•“as if Jesus were walking the grounds looking for the treasure, and the treasure was you!”

What if you’re the treasure he was willing to give up EVERYTHING to purchase (on the cross!) because
you’re an INVALUABLE treasure!

SUFFERING:
— Jesus knew His suffering was Gods rescue mission for His children!
Could this suffering you’re in be an UNEXPECTED RESCUE MISSION?
• If I stuff the Rejection I miss the rescue
• If i stuff the shame I miss the saving
• If I stuff the pain I miss the promise
• If I stuff the loneliness I miss the Love.
• If I stuff the hurt I miss the Healer
• If I stuff the fault, I miss the forgiveness
When I STUFF, it desensitizes me to others is in!:(

Jesus refused to NUMB-OUT! (Numb out) !!!!!
But had he refused the suffering he would of missed the enormity of Hid Savior!
👉The drink offered to Jesus:
cheap vinegar wine, mixed w/ drug to dull senses.
👉It was the custom of the Romans to offer a man being crucified drugged wine so that he might more easily endure his cross.
👉Jesus refused the wine so that He could go through his suffering with a clear mind—
Jesus was the door that lead RESTORATION — and just as the angel passed over the doors, Jesus was saying his door leads to life!
The angel of death has PASSED OVER US!!
