“Tychicus will give you a full report about how I am getting along. (1) He is a beloved brother and (2) faithful helper who (3) serves with me in the Lord’s work.

• Tichucus delivered the books of eph & Col & Philemon while Paul was in house arrest in Rome .
• Tychicus was interim pastor for Timothy so that Timothy could see paul (“I sent Tich-i-cus to Ephesus.” 2 Tim 4:12)
• Tychicus did missionary trip with Timothy & Paul (acts 20)
• Tychicus mentioned 5x in Bible.
Tychicus is called:
a “dear brother”
a “faithful helper”
an “encourager “
a “faithful minister”
Maybe paul was thinking about tychicus when he wrote this:)
Rom 10:14 “But how can they call on God to save them unless they believe in him? And how can they believe in him if they have never heard about him? And how can they hear about him unless someone tells them? And how will anyone go and tell them without being sent? That is why the Scriptures say, “How beautiful are the feet of messengers who bring good news!”
—> BUT NO ONE KNOWS HIS NAME!
☀️Tychicus was more interested in others knowing God’s name than his!
• we have an inherent desire to WEAR a name bigger than mine!
Culture is OBSESSED w/name brands.
• We unknowingly wear A NAME ABOVE ALL NAMES
GODS SIGNATURE is on my forehead (Rev 14:1)
I’m His masterpiece/ workmanship.
👉 Michelangelo signed all his masterpieces!
God is the ONLY one who has the authority to name me!
If we don’t know our identity (MY NAME)— a:
1. DESIRE for acceptance or
2. FEAR of rejection.
….will dictate my life

Saul never went through a wilderness/process season, David did!
The wilderness allows character development & deep roots of maturity & integrity
zech 4:10 “Do not despise these small beginnings, for the LORD rejoices to see the work begin...”
• The worst thing to do in life is to compare my chapter 4 with someone else’s chapter 44
Moses spent 40 years in the wilderness and was the most humble man on the face of the earth (Numbers 12:3).
“Small beginnings”’can be so painful and lonely but NECESSARY.
• Deep roots only grow in the small beginnings!
We think we must externally be VISIBLE & be “doing” things for God
Radical = latin word means ROOT
True radical life is ROOTED.
Rooted is the INVISIBLE part OF plant that we don’t see
• Story of Kim & Jim (two years with no one attending their Bible study . )
