Comes from Greek word- “Skandalon”
—>from a root meaning jump up & snap shut!
SKANDOLON= was originally the piece of wood that kept open a trap for animals that hung the bait!
• offense is what satans uses to draw us into a trap!!!!
We have an epidemic of offended Christians!
ROOT OF REJECTION:
Spirit of Offense= A byproduct of former Rejection
What inner-narrative/SCRIPT am I listening to that causes me to be offended???
• flip inner script with SCPIPTure!
👉👉IDENTITY is the remedy to spirit of offense!!
OFFENSE = is a DEFENSE MECHANISM (“A-fence” built around heart to self protect)
1 cor 13:5
“LOVE does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged.(not easily offended)”

• Exchange Gods perfect direction for satans garbage collection.

• exchange Gods warm embrace for Satans glare of disgrace
• exchange Gods unspeakable peace for satans anxiety increase
• exchange Gods wide open door for satans internal war
• Exchange Gods white robe identity for the devils constant obscenities

Hurt feelings don’t often want to cooperate with holy instruction !!!
• Jesus didn’t allow his heart to grow bitter but better

• Jesus who should of been offended but never was!
Jesus had ONE goal on His mind: to fulfill His purpose & to reveal love. There was no room
for offense. It would of taken him off course!
👉Offense is the language of the enemy.
-His agenda is destruction
-His strategy is division
-His tactic is offense
How to fight against Offense:
👉DONT REPEAT (in head)
👉But RETREAT
👉So He can DELETE
• Freedom isn’t the absence of man’s rejection, but the presence of Gods affection!
