“Wives, submit to your husbands, as is fitting for those who belong to the Lord.”

GENESIS MARRIAGE:

Consequence of fall:

👉Labor pain

👉Submit to husband (both equally painful 🤣) Gen 3:16

• Marriage is a divine institution.

Your marriage is PERFECT - it’s the people in it that make it broken!

GENESIS:

• The breakdown of marriage happened in Genesis

👉Eve Relinquished her role and submitted to what Satan said over what her husband said.

👉Adam Relinquished his ROLE as designated leader & Came under authority of his wife instead of gods truth

Is 54:5

“For your Maker is your husband— the LORD Almighty is his name— the Holy One of Israel is your Redeemer; he is called the God of all the earth.”

Learned submission from my LOVE relationship w/ God!

SUBMISSION :

• The “S” word!!

Submission: means to be under the ‘mission.’

The mission of a husband is to lay his life down for his wife— to love her as Christ loved the church!

MUTUAL SUBMISSION

We can’t be submitted if we’re not first FILLED with Holy Spirit (Col 3:16)

God calls wives to submit & husbands to love (Eph 5:25-28)

A wife always has a higher allegiance to Christ — & Christ’s Word governs her life!

👉I’m not submitting to bad behavior (violate my conscience), but to the ROLE God has given me!

If I submit to bad behavior- I’m submitting to Satan (Eve in garden) & no longer God.

• Submission i STAY under mission of God (submission)thru prayer to bring restoration &/or reconciliation

Submission is a HEART POSTURE that now turns to praying for husband & against bitterness!

• The entire purpose of marriage is to portray the way Christ loves the church!

Am I FIRST submitted to God?? My FIRST husband ?

1 Peter 3:7

“n the same way, you husbands must give honor to your wives. Treat your wife with understanding as you live together. She may be weaker than you are, but she is your equal partner in God’s gift of new life. Treat her as you should so your prayers will not be hindered.

THE HOME:

Men= infrastructure (walls & ceiling)

Women=

support beams (both support & beautify)

Jesus= foundation
