HOLINESS= means wholeness.
God is:
⁃ completely complete.
⁃ Perfectly perfect.
⁃ Wholly whole.
GEN 2
He begins in Genesis 2 declaring 7th day “HOLY” -found on the day of rest.
• We can’t be agents of healing if we’re not healed!
God‘s holiness (WHOLENESS) is
WHO he is
WHAT he is
Gods holiness:
1. His moral purity (righteousness)
2. His Transcendence
3.His withness
• Peter knew FIRST HAND the holiness of God!!
• LUKE 5
• God “CHOSE” Peter
• In front of Gods holiness—Peter didn’t praise but confessed (purged out hidden corners)
Jesus came for the:
LAST
LEAST
LOST…
to bring them home.
JESUS: “Healthy people don’t need a doctor—sick people do. I have come to call not those who think they are righteous, but those who know they are sinners”
TRUE HOLINESS:

1. Stood at distance
(Humility)
2. Beat chest & owned his sin (Repentance)
3. Asked for God’s undeserved mercy ( trembling) 👉” I tell you, this sinner, not the Pharisee, returned home justified” (just if I’d always been holy)

True holiness may not be detected by others; for example :
— renewal of my mind
— restored from porn
— free from private addiction
— stuffed pain extracted
THIS IS TRUE HOLINESS!! (Wholeness)
GOD IS HOLY— & I am ONLY Holy(whole) because of His work on the cross— not my own!!!!!
Behavior motification DOES NOT WORK!!
John 15:1-5
• “ I am the true vine, and my father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch in Me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit He prunes so that it’ll be even more fruitful. REMAIN in me, as I also REMAIN in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself, it must REMAIN on the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you REMAIN in me. I am the vine, you are the branches. If you REMAIN in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit. Apart from me you can do NOTHING.”
