What’s the point in taking revenge or retaliation on someone who’s ALREADY BEEN DEFEATED!?

Jesus knows how this story ends—

AND HE WINS!

“I cry out to God Most High, to God, who vindicates me(who will fulfill His purpose for me.) He sends help from heaven and saves me, rebuking those who hotly pursue me— God sends forth his love and his faithfulness.”

You hold me safe beyond the reach of my enemies, you save me from violent opponents.”
